This movie has people getting decapitated, pushed out of windows, and more, however, it has a really good plot and kept my interest. Teen, 17 years old Written by maceomadness August 26, Cool film A little classic 70s movie I think PG13 but it is a good film I think you would like it some 70s films are good.

Teen, 13 years old Written by Films August 22, Pretty scary, The Omen has some eerie set-pieces such as a hanging and a decapitation, but mainly relies on the haunting soundtrack and suspense. A film that will put you off kids, The Omen follows an American Diplomat Gregory Peck whose wife gives birth to a stillborn. The church secretly give him a baby called Damien whose mother died in childbirth.

He begins to believe that Damien is in fact The Antichrist. Teen, 15 years old Written by Eliffgg July 2, Dated and a little corny, but still scary with good acting and great score.

Teen, 16 years old Written by MovieGeek December 3, Disturbing supernatural horror movie is not as violent as you would expect. The Omen really works as a horror film, it has a disturbing topic satanism and manages to be scary without displaying gratuitous violence. The Omen also has good performances from actors such as Gregory Peck who plays an American ambassador who unknowingly adopts the son of Satan.

The Omen has a very suspenseful great soundtrack which really goes well with the horror scenes and the demonic child Damien manages to be disturbing and frightening despite not being prominently in the film, much like the shark in Jaws. Parents should know that although The Omen is not excessively violent scenes of violence such as an impaling are shown. Satanic imagery is also a major factor in the movie and may offend some viewers to do not watch if you are easily upset by the occult in movies.

Kid, 11 years old October 11, Only note is violence - decapitation death, stick through body, falling off a skyscraper, but a good movie. Check out my other reviews if you can find me - i'm a BIG horror buff.

Teen, 13 years old Written by youlouzer26 March 22, Not very good Most of the gore is left to your mind, but people are skewered, and a head flies off. Its a bad movie as well, don't waste your time on this! Teen, 13 years old Written by Moony October 26, Honestly, the only reason I enjoyed this was that it was pretty funny, with the deaths redundant and the idea of a five-year-old boy in footie pajamas being the devil humourous. By analysing the profiles data of over fans of the horror movie genre fans, we have also pulled out attitude statements that are disproportionaly true of horror fans compared to the general population.

The religious inversion theme of popular horrors chimes with this group for a reason — they tend to see religion as having created more harm than good throughout history — and these are definitely creatures of the night, tending to say they are night owls and can survive on very little sleep.

They also share some of the recklessness of the genre 'when I drink, I drink to get drunk' , along with the rough justice necessary in the netherworlds 'an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth'.

Try and find a more breathless, tense and harrowing opening to a movie than that horrendous chase scene at the beginning of the sequel. Christ I wanted a lie-down after that.

This is of course the stupidest entry on the list because there are loads of Alien movies and they all differ wildly in quality, so clumping them altogether makes zero sense. None of the others are scary, basically. Yeah, go on then. I mean, I have only seen this once and it was when I was much younger, but it definitely scared me. And still: clowns.

I understand the uproar it caused when it was first released, but in the grand scheme of things, it falls short behind a lot of other scary movies. Still good though, mind. It is scary all the way through, right until the dumb ending, which ruins everything. As such, the rest of the film is rendered not scary. Paranormal Activity is therefore: not scary.
